Some people call it a funeral service, others a celebration of life. Remember Me’s “Remembrance Service” strives to ensure that no life will simply fade away. Everyone should be remembered for their everyday contributions, unique personality, and the other lives they touched. With a viewing and complete ceremony, family and friends are able to pay tribute and remember a life lived.
What is a Commemorative Service?
More traditionally known as a memorial service, Remember Me’s “Commemorative Service” describes how we honour a person's memory by observing their life's accomplishments.
What does Simply No Service mean?
You might have heard someone say, “I don’t want a service.” Many funeral homes call this option a direct service because the decedent is transported directly to the place of final disposition. Remember Me’s “Simply No Service” accomplishes the same end, but "simple" can mean many different things to different people. Remember Me allows those who choose this option to define what "simple" means to them. Maybe you don’t want a viewing, or to have a formal service. Perhaps you'd rather have a tea reception where friends can share their memories.
What if the care home where I’m living doesn’t offer this service
Ask your care provider, or the home’s administrator, to incorporate Remember Me Services and Consulting for Seniors into its health care continuum.
What if I want to have a service both at the care facility and the funeral home?
Remember Me accommodates all of your requests. That’s what we do – customize services to suit your individual needs. Keep in mind that families may want to come and see the place where you lived, meet your friends, and hear from your care staff.
